AAK Preschool Philosophy
It is the philosophy of the AAK Preschool to teach students the joy of learning using each child’s individual talents and abilities.
We encourage children to develop life-long learning habits and a caring, community spirit in a warm, nurturing, safe environment. Because each child is unique in abilities and learning styles, the staff of AAK Preschool will develop activities, programs and projects that allow students to learn and grow at their own pace. We believe that children learn best by exploring their environment with guidance.
We work to develop the whole child by providing hands-on activities, art, music, and drama based learning, and physical development in our integrated units. We strive to help each child be an active learner, using their natural curiosity about the world around them. We will tie their learning in the classroom to their community at large to help children become caring members of society. We encourage active cooperation amongst our students, staff, parents and community.
Problem solving with each other to develop our community of learners enables each of us to learn and grow. We strive to learn from each family and student in our care and to work together to become better teachers and community members.
